A cool panorama picture… I am needing to get my camera/phone fixed because something is wrong with the lens. Not sure when this happened, but looking back at the pics, it seems to have been a slow progression to the fuzzyness. So I’ll be having them send me a new one soon….
Our yard is about 80% completed since the hot tub arrived back in June. It’s been a long, slow, HOT process. This is going to be a HOT month, so I can’t see much else getting complete in the yard until it’s cooler [whenever that is]. The panorama effect makes it look smaller in the center than it actually is… but it gives you an idea as to the layout. The firepit will be over in the back corner once it’s completed…. again when it’s cooler, who needs a firepit when it’s 115 outside? Even the trampoline isn’t getting any use since it’s hot to even get up on. The hot tub is reading 110 plus degrees and won’t cool off… anyways, you get the idea…. can’t wait until it’s cooler outside so we can sit back there without turning into a pile of sweat!

We took the train to Old Towne San Diego…. Awesome food, great weather and a relaxing train ride…. even if we do get a little goofy to where people stare….
So the kids all piled in the car at 7am…… off we go to California…
They actually did very well, in 6 hours only 2 squabbles. NOT TOO SHABBY!
iPod’s were key to keeping things happy in a small space for that long of time. Soon we started to hear the voices asking “are we there yet?”
AND FINALLY….. I could say YES!!!! Our first view of the Pacific….. YES!!!!
Just a quick little bit of Sea World San Diego.
School is out for summer, Becca is back from Flagstaff for the summer and has a job at pet smart. She’s loving it. Devan and Connor had 4 days off from gymnastics then it’s down to the grind. We will be getting a new backyard soon! and the house has been maintaining much better than it has in the past. The cooperation level has risen and that is the key. so that is enough for now. I’m getting tired

This year the theme was the 80′s (of which I had absolutely NO clue about…. ya fer sure)! So as much as I wanted to gag everyone with a spoon, I withheld the urge to pull out my Bangles album and dance like an Egyption. The girls decked themselves out in their true colors, Cindi Lauper style and even put on some legwarmers for their special [flash]dance. They had a blast the entire day performing their finale’ show twice. Their good friend Emma (below) also had her moment in the sun during the show and got a chance to strut her stuff! Can’t wait until next year…. hopefully we’ll move into the new millennium.
